Adventures and new-goings-on
ADVENTURES!
Well, now that i've got your attention, I would like to shamelessly flaunt the fact that Folk-Fest is this Saturday from 7:oopm until 12:ooam in Mega-Brock. Thank the Lord. My favorite event that is put on at Covenant is happening soon. It will be so great to enjoy the night of music and talent from all across the campus located in one giant room full of couches and wonderful people.
In other news...
I am changing some things in my life. These things have already been in the works for quite a while, but I figured I might as well share them with all of you instead of keeping them to myself.
I have been extremely convicted and increasingly aware that I am much too dependent on technology. Thus, I am cutting down on it. I am barely using Facebook anymore. I am sick of living technologically, and miss really living. I have been doing this for a few weeks. I am writing more letters, and reading more books, and spending more real time getting to know people, and doing more creative things. Life feels fuller. People feel closer. Things feel richer. Reading feels more enrapturing. Being creative feels more from the heart, and I feel my bones cry with contentment at the prospect of doing real things instead of posting about doing real things on Facebook.
SO. I am pleading with you to help me do this, and maybe even do something like this yourself. I can promise you that you will feel like you are getting more out of life. But, if you don't want to...that's up to you.
In order to help me with this, if you would e-mail me your address to tyler.scharf5191@gmail.com I will send you a letter. It would honestly make my day to receive a letter back. This is one of the main ways I am communicating with people as of a week or two ago. If you want to begin talking about something specific, you can even message me that and I will maybe do some research and talk about that. You just never know. Also, come talk to me. I'm serious about that.
So, in conclusion. E-Mail me your address and I will write you a letter. I will not be on facebook more than a few occasional times a month. E-mail me. Seriously. I'm also attempting to write on here every week or two in order to update you on my life. I'm actually going to do that this time.
Until next time my friends.
