let's celebrate and enjoy this bounty of summer.

[note. this post is about a week old...so just keep that in mind]

holy crap. things are insane. but good insane. the johns just got back from a week up in boston and new york. i have been happily house-sitting for them. it's been a joy and a saddness. having the johns not here has been great because of the freedom, and having the whole house to myself. and i was rarely lonely because people are over all the time. it just made me wish i had my own apartment. i can't wait until that's the case.

in other news I HAVE A NEW CAR! well, it's not exactly new. it's a 2002 hyundai elantra hatchback gt.

and he's a beaut. i've decided to name hime smoky. the old owners were smokers, but thankfully the car doesn't have any aroma of smoke. he's got automatic windows, and locks. and a sunroof. my favorite part so far. apart from the fact that i own this thing. it's a great first car. cheap, thanks to my uncle steve. in good condition, very me, a huge trunk that i can lug stuff around in, good gas mileage...it's pretty awesome. i love it. now i need a job to go with it so i can pay for gas. the only downside is that the remote only works to turn on the alarm. but i think i can live with that.
