Breaks for Giving Thanks

This was written about Thanksgiving Break...but I haven't had any time to finish it until now. Here it is for your entertainment and reading pleasure.

So i'm really bad at writing these things. I'll try and do better I promise. i know i say that every time, but seriously..how else are you going to keep up with my life other then my blog posts? Here goes.

Thanksgiving Break was last week. It went by entirely to fast, and was so incredibly needed. I began my journey last tuesday [the 22nd of november] at 4:45pm after work and drove down to my dads apartment in daytona beach. 9ish hours later i arrived at roughly 3:15ish in the a.m. chatted for a while with the padre and hit the sack - and by 'the sack' i mean 'the living room floor with blankets to make it comfy and warm' - at around 4:30am. slept in until dad left for work at around 9:30 then commandeered his bed until around 2 in the afternoon. I proceeded to get out of bed and attempt to do something productive, but it was too cloudy to go to the beach, and the wi-fi wasn't working with my computer. mythbusters marathon on discovery? yes please. there went my afternoon. i'm alright with that. i needed a day of relaxing. plus, i feel that mythbusters is dangerously close to being educational. learning on break?! that can't be right. hmm..

that night when dad got home from work we went to the movies and saw The Muppet's. So great! i'm usually not a fan of children movies, but this one was nostalgic and brought me back to being a kid again watching The Muppet's in Manhattan, and other movies like that in my early childhood. lordy, how things have changed. so after watching The Muppet's we went to the Winghouse. after being a vegetarian for this semester and eating darn healthy for the extent of the three or more months i have been here going straight from that to eating fried, greasy wings smothered in bbq sauce and garlic butter left me feeling...not exactly peachy.  the minute we got back in the house i had myself a nice glass of orange juice and fiber-blend. fiber-blend is this stuff that you mix with a liquid and it cleans out all of the junk in your system...in my case...greasy chicken wings. boy did i feel better the next day. so anyways, the next day my father and i left daytona at around 8am and got to Pt. Charlotte around 11:45ish a.m. and ate a delicious thanksgiving dinner with my uncle steve and aunt denise. Then went to the Johns for a very festive time overall. Went Black Friday shopping...on Thanksgiving evening. The next day we all slept in and went to The Perfect Cup. The group of us consisted of Jenny, Justin, and Christy Johns, Cody Laun, James, and Becky Valkenberg, and Emily Loderhose, and Smitty. It was definitely a good breakfast/early lunch. Later on, we went out to find some good deals, but everything was picked through. No biggie. Then it was the best day of the year, Tree Day. That night was full of SKyline Chili, Singing Christmas Carols, and spending some quality time with some quality people. It was a great day. And a fantastic Break. Sort of full of rest, and hanging out with awesome people. I wish I could do it all over again.
